TRANSPORTATION IMPACT FEE
East Cocalico Township has begun the process to create a transportation impact fee ordinance. This will create a fee to be paid by developers for the impact of their growth on our traffic. This is a fair way to relieve some of the taxpayers' burden of transportation improvements. The procedure to set the fee will take about 18 months. It involves studying the roads, determining where growth will occur, planning transportation improvements to handle added traffic, and calculating the costs to derive a fee.
